Here is the original manicure I did that inspired the last post of holiday nails. You can do your tips any way you choose, in any color that inspires you. I went for red. When I do my french tips, I can never seem to get them even close to right unless I use scotch tape on my nail bed and use the free edge to leave the tips of my nail exposed for the coloring of them. I did two coats of red polish and quickly removed the tape. I keep ten small nail-width strips of tape on my nail polish box, that I have re-used about a half dozen times with no problem. As soon as I finish with the second coat I carefully pull off the tape. Don’t let the polish dry to pull off the tape because it may take the polish with it. It comes out surprisingly clean looking! I used just a normal clear base coat underneath, and after the tips dried I used my Konad plate M3, single bow when transferring and used my white Konad polish.
I love these because they can be used any time of year, can be totally professional or funk up your french with a color. Have fun with it!

I bought three more polishes today: a Cover Girl glittery top coat called Amethyst Mist, Sally Hansen Xtreme in Celeb City, and Sally Hansen HD in DVD. swatches coming soon… after I try one more holiday manicure tomorrow…
Happy Christmas eve’s eve!
